The event will be based on the Cedefop forthcoming publication on the relationships between credit systems and qualifications frameworks in vocational education and training, and higher education. The study takes into account the European tools (ECTS, ECVET, EQF and the EHEA-QF) and their implementations.

The seminars are organized for the stakeholders and customers of Lernia in collaboration with EVTA.

EVTA will present the network activities, the opportunities for the use of the European reference tools and the examples of collaboration in the network.

EVTA members and project partners of the partnership project on ECVET will be present as well.

Organised by the European Commission in partnership with the CEDEFOP.

EVTA will attend the conference.

Cedefop organises, for the second time, a peer learning workshop linked to the European Qualifications Framework. This event will address the sectoral dynamics and cross-sectoral developments of Qualifications Frameworks. It is part of Cedefop activities to support the European Commission on the challenges involved in the implementation of the EQF at European, national and sectoral level. The event will bring together project promoters of selected ongoing EQF/Sectoral LdV pilot projects (2007 and 2008) notably national authorities, sectors as well as social partners, non-governmental organisations and representatives from the Commission.

The conference will provide the opportunity to present and discuss Cedefop’s research results from the view point of European and national education and training policy, research, the labour market and the individuals. The event will bring together government experts, social partners, academia and other stakeholders from all over Europe to discuss the overall implications of the changes in the role and functions of qualifications to support policy development and cooperation in education and training at national and European level.

This seminar is a follow up of the previous event organised in January 2009, which was aimed at presenting and discussing ETF feasibility study on adult learning, within the context of an overall policy for human capital development.
