In many existing vocational training programmes, all over Europe, the relative proportion of international experience is extremely small. To gain international trade experience, it is often considered to be sufficient to work in an international enterprise. The competences required for outstanding international business performance, such as flexibility, cultural, sensitivity, creativity, proactivity, are often seen as being acquired informally and non formally.
INTENT intends to contribute to and to formalize the acquisition of these competences, by defining the needs of international companies, resulting in a competence profile covering them, plus an accompanying training programme with assessment standards.
