The goal of the FORWARD project is to give project participants elements of knowledge and awareness to develop Lifelong Learning strategies in the European Union and reach the Lisbon strategy benchmarks related to learning.
This will be done in three stages:
| 1. | identification of strengths and weaknesses in the LLL strategy building process of partner countries. There are still significant divergences between Member States in the various fields of LLL and differences in individual States’ performances. |
| 2. | drawing up of guidelines, operating lines and an interaction model to develop and implement LLL strategies. |
| 3. | sharing of outcomes; eventually, a wide consultation with LLL stakeholders at local as well as national and EU level will accomplish a consistent and significant activity of sharing of the results and knowledge produced. |
The challenge here is to mainstream results in local systems giving LLL policy makers elements to design and implement an integrated strategy for LLL.
