ECVET:
The European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training
With ECVET, it should be possible to transfer an individual’s learning outcomes (expressed in terms of knowledge, skills and competences) from one qualification system to another, or from one learning "pathway" to another.
Learners (in working or learning context) can accumulate their required learning outcomes for a given qualification over time, in different countries or in different situations.
ECVET aims to give people greater control over their individual learning experiences and make it more attractive to move between different countries and different learning environments.

In order to promote the implementation of ECVET in all the European member states, a European ECVET network is set up to promote the implementation of ECVET in the member states by 2014.
The ECVET Network is open for subscription since 01/09/2010 via the website of the ECVET Network. All organisations working on/ interested in ECVET can become member.
