Search for work placements abroad online now!

Kenwerk, as a member of EVTA, is the project manager of the project “Cert-T-Com”. Kenwerk and the international consortium aim to develop and test a system and database for the certification of work placement companies abroad. The project is started in the beginning of 2007. The first phase of the project resulted in a website with database of work placement companies in the hotel, restaurant and leisure sector, tools for mentors and coaches and an extension of the partnership with new European partners.

The website is a platform for companies, VET professionals/providers and trainees:

- Entrepreneurs of work placement companies can visit the website and subscribe themselves as a work placement company. Besides they can see when trainees are interested in a work placement in their company or contact trainees directly to get them interested in a work placement in their company. At this moment only work placement companies for the hotel, restaurant and leisure sector are available.
Use the entry “companies” to find out what this site can do for your company.

- For the mentor/coach within the work placement company, the website offers “do it yourself” instruments. These instruments can help the company to prepare, monitor and assess the work placement of the trainee within the work placement company. The instruments can be adapted to the needs of the company or VET provider.
Use the entry “mentor/coach” to check out the available tools and instruments.

- Trainees can find their own work placement companies via the database on the website. Besides the students can share their experiences of a work placement with others via the Europass CV and the feedback form.
Use the entry “trainee” to search a work placement abroad and to create your own Europass CV.

In the second phase of the project, the website and database will be tested by the project partners and adapted where necessary.

The website is accessible via different ways:

- Directly via www.hoteltrainees.com

- Via the homepage of EVTA www.evta.eu, directly under “workplacements”

- Via the European project catalogue in the EVTA portal, via “European projects” on the homepage of the EVTA portal (select “mobility” or “train the trainers”)
