Knowledge Sharing is a framework for designing an organisation’s goals structures and processes so that the organisation can use what it knows to learn and to create value for its customer and community.

Engaging Everyone in Contributing to a Knowledge Strategy

If you are one of many that think why should you bother in including the new Knowledge Management Strategies and why should everyone contribute to it is very well answered with a quote from Einstein; “The thinking that has brought us to where we are today, can not take us where we want to be in the future.”

Jean-Bernard Stacchini, Directeur Marketing Knowledge

Applying the four pillars of knowledge management

The new business environment demands foresight, superior performance, innovation and adaptation, rather than the traditional emphasis on optimization. Effective and complete planning for enterprise knowledge management is critical. The four enterprise engineering pillars are leadership, organization, technology and learning in support of enterprisewide knowledge management initiatives. In application, the pillars represent critical success factors for KM implementation. To achieve a basic entry level KM program, it has been determined that all four pillars must be addressed.

By Charles H. Bixler, D.Sc., of George Washington University

Implementing Knowledge Management - Practical experiences

Knowledge Management must be based on the vision and strategy of the organisation; top management must be devotedly committed to the process of KM; middle management taking part in the process will through practise learn the benefits of KM and the benefits of it; to create a new way of thinking and to achieve a wanted level of mutual understanding takes a lot of time and a lot of co-ordinated discussions; the developing of knowledge - know-how - skills and competences is essential to the process of Knowledge Management

The benefits of knowledge sharing

The valuable knowledge is a precious good. It contributes to the development and improvement of our society. Therefore, we must find ways to increase it and share it with our fellows)

Knowledge sharing and education

The flame of the candle doesn't decrease when it is offered to other candles. Same with knowledge: It illumes other persons and helps them find better ways of life. The institutions of education are successful in their work only when the transfer of knowledge is realized in a high level)
